Sports Genoveva Ayongman signs with the Portland of the U.S.A. The international player of Equatorial Guinea, Genoveva Ayongman, captain of the Women’s Nzalang, leaves the German League and passes to the best championship of women’s football of the world, that of the United States of America.


The international player Genoveva Ayongman from Equatorial Guinea, two-time champion of Africa and player of the Turbine Potsdam of Germany since 2011, is in Malabo since the past weekend to say goodbye to her family and to the Equatoguinean population, after signing with the Portland team of the United States during a period of two years, renewable.

In an interview with, the captain of the Women’s Nzalang said that for some time some North American teams have been wanting her to sign, and she finally chose Portland: “In principle I am going for two seasons and I will be presented officially in the month of May, for this reason I have taken advantage of these days to say goodbye to my family. I know that the North American League, which is the best in the world, differs much from that of Germany, which will make me work double.”

Ayongman learned to play along with the boys of her town, in the district of Cogo; then she arrived in Bata, where she joined the team of its school center, Echo of the Future, and from there she signed with the Stars of Ewaiso, of Malabo. With the national selection she has been champion of Africa in 2008 and 2012; sub-champion in 2010 in South Africa and World Cup player in 2011, in Germany.
