Head of State Meetings with diplomatic representatives The President of the Republic, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, received in the People's Palace of Malabo, on Tuesday, January 27, the Ambassadors of Japan, Turkey and Sao Tome and Principe, Mashao Kobayashi, Omar Faruk and Homero Jeronimo Salvaterra, respectively.

The Japanese Ambassador accredited in our country, Mashao Kobayashi, was the first to meet with H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who was accompanied by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government for the Political Sector and Democracy, and the Minister of Internal Affairs and Local Corporations, Clemente Engonga Nguema Onguene, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Victoriana Nchama Nsue Okomo.

The Equatorial Guinean President and the Japanese diplomat discussed issues of bilateral interest aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the two governments.

With the Turkish Ambassador, Omar Faruk, he addressed the successful holding in Malabo of the last Africa-Turkey summit. During the audience, they discussed the possibility of Obiang Nguema Mbasogo making an official visit to Turkey in 2015. The Turkish diplomat, after meeting with the Head of State, told reporters that this summit will contribute significantly to the objectives of the Government of Equatorial Guinea, in view of its Horizon 2020 plan.

The Ambassador of Sao Tome and Principe, Homero Jeronimo Salvaterra, was the last diplomat to meet with the President of the Republic, to whom he conveyed the message of congratulations from his counterpart, Manuel Pinto da Costa, for the new year and also for the welcoming and the perfect organization of the Africa Cup of Nations, CAN 2015.
