Sports Draw for the CEMAC Cup Equatorial Guinea 2014 On Saturday afternoon, October 4, the draw for the ninth edition of the Cup of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) was held, in a ceremony in the city of Malabo. Equatorial Guinea will play their first match against the Central African Republic on November 30.

The ceremony was chaired by the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, Ruslan Obiang Nsue, as Vice President of the Local Organizing Committee, accompanied by the Secretary of the CEMAC Parliament, and the Ambassadors of Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Chad and Gabon.

The event was surrounded by warmth and color and has enjoyed the support of approximately a hundred guests, including representatives of the six member States and their respective ambassadors accredited to the Government of Equatorial Guinea, with the exception of the Central African Republic.

The master of ceremonies, Martin Pedro Ndong Nfumu, Secretary General of the Local Organizing Committee, was responsible for announcing the speech of Ruslan Obiang Nsue, who welcomed to Equatorial Guinea the delegations of the participating countries and wished them to play a great edition.

Then Pedro Mabale Fuga Afang, Chairman of the Technical Committee, stood at the podium to conduct the draw, after a brief technical explanation of the rotating drums. Some former players of the national team, such as Ignacio Bita and Makoli, were responsible for drawing the balls, whose draw had the following pairings.

Group A: Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and the Central African Republic will play in Bata.

Group B: Gabon, Chad, Republic of Congo will play in Malabo.

The training fields have been divided as follows. Equatorial Guinea in Mbini; Cameroon in Alep; Central African Republic in the Bata Stadium Annex; Gabon in the La Paz stadium; Republic of Congo in the Malabo Stadium Annex; and Chad in the Luba Stadium.

The diplomats Mbala Lazar of Cameroon, Utuzolele Timote of Congo, and Atta Ali Mahamad of Chad, have described the draw in a positive way and have pointed out that we should not underestimate any team because in football anything is possible.
