Head of State The presidential couple inaugurated the Polyclinic Center of Virgin of Guadalupe On March 8, the First Lady of Zimbabwe, Grace Mugabe, was responsible for cutting the ribbon of the new Polyclinic Medical Center Our Lady of Guadalupe, located in the city of Mongomo, and that was inaugurated by the Equatorial Guinean presidential couple.


The solemn opening ceremony and commissioning of this medical center was chaired by the Head of State, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, in the presence of the First Lady of the Nation, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, founder of the chain of clinics Virgin of Guadalupe, and the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Grace Mugabe, guest of honor at this event.

The ceremony was also attended by the Presidents of the Senate, Teresa Efua Asangono, of the Chamber of Deputies, Gaudencio Muaba Mesu, of the Supreme Court, Martin Ndong Nsue, among other national, provincial and Mongomo district authorities. The event was enlivened by choirs of animation, traditional báleles and a Brazilian group.

At the event, the Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, for the Social Sector and Minister of Education, Lucas Nguema Esono, spoke, expressing his satisfaction about the construction and operation of the new clinic, which, he said, "honors the Social Sector and is part of the fulfillment of the Government's plans to improve the health of Equatorial Guineans."

In his speech, President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo also congratulated all women for March 8, International Women's Day, and praised the humanitarian actions that his wife, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, carries out on a daily basis, such as the education of children and young people, helping the sick, supporting women entrepreneurs, and many other tasks that performed by the First Lady of the Nation, which he described as a great woman.

H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo spoke of the involvement of medical and health personnel in hospitals, to serve patients with love and care, demonstrating their ability and responsibility when carrying out their functions.

We must highlight that the new Polyclinic Center Virgin of Guadalupe of Mongomo is one of the most advanced hospitals in the world, due to its technology, and is equipped with first-line medical equipment and built with the highest quality.

This center provides emergency services, MRIs, tomography, radiology, cardiology, urology, dentistry, dialysis, rehabilitation, including a hydrotherapy pool and treatment rooms, physiotherapy rooms, central sterile supply items, intensive care, delivery rooms, intensive care for premature babies, hospitalization for internal medicine, hospitalization for surgery and orthopedics, among other options.
