Government Meeting of the Minister of Mines with SEGESA staff from the Continental Region Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima told the electric company workers from the mainland about the restructuring of the company.


The Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy, Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, in his capacity as chairman of the board of directors of the Electricity Company of Equatorial Guinea S.A. (SEGESA), met this week with the staff assigned to the company and assigned to the Continental Region, in an event that took place in the city of Bata.

During the meeting, Mbega Lima was accompanied by the Inspector General of Hydrocarbons services of the regional delegation, Antonio Pedro Oliveira Burupu, and by the Continental Inspector General of Electrical Services, Eugenio Edu Ndong Obono.

This meeting was intended to inform the SEGESA staff about the restructuring of the company. The result of this reorganization was the creation of three functioning bodies, each of which will address a specific sector.

This way, and from now on, SEGESA Comercial will handle the electric flow, while SEGESA Generacion will carry out the normal functioning of the various power plants in the country. Finally, the staff of SEGESA Transmision will be responsible for the state of the transmission networks, transformers and similar material.
