On Tuesday, September 20, closed the 58th Session of the Executive Committee of the African Parliamentary Union. The Speaker of the House of People's Representatives and Executive Chairman of the APU, Angel Serafin Seriche Dougan, was commissioned to carry out the act, accompanied by the First Vice President of the House of People's Representatives. In his closing remarks, Seriche Dougan thanked the involvement of the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, who has facilitated the holding of this session.

Also, he thanked the efforts of the organizing committee and members of the Secretariat, who have helped to carry out the event in optimum conditions, and he also extended his congratulations to the members of the Executive Committee.

On the other hand, the President of the national Parliament said that the APU will pursue its ambition to bring together all the parliaments of Africa and insisted that the national groups be responsible for the reports adopted at the conference, for implementing the recommendations and rulings of the Secretariat.

Serafin Seriche Dougan also said that following the adoption of the 2010 budget, they established that the national groups contribute on time in order to avoid the accumulation of delays, in order to promote the union of all necessary resources to achieve their goals.

Sudan's Parliament reiterated its country's invitation to host in the capital, Khartoum, from November 27 to 28, the 59th Session of the Executive Committee of the APU. Meanwhile, Angola is the country that will host the 60th Conference of the Executive Committee.
