Sports The CAF remembers the ill-fated Tecla Bilé Esono One of the items of the tasks of the 33rd ordinary General Assembly of the CAF was dedicated to pay homage posthumously to the directors, technicians and athletes who died in Africa in 2010.


In the long list of subjects presented by the interim Secretary-General of the CAF, the Moroccan Hicham, appeared the name of the person who a short time ago was the women’s Nzalang team’s defense, Tecla Bilé Esono, who died last year 2010 in a traffic accident. In the accident, that occurred in the Edea-Yaundé highway section, the Technical Director of Deportivo Mongomo, Pablo Ndong Esi (Boyas) also died.

The President of the CAF also delivered a written text to the President of the FEGUIFUT, Bonifacio Manga, in which it stated the consternation of the institution for this event and joined the Equatorial Guinean soccer family in this time of pain.

One must recall that, until now, the lifeless body of the player continues in the mortuary of Yaundé, in Cameroon, waiting for the family to announce the date of burial. Recently, an Equatoguinean delegation of delivered to the family an amount of money sent by the Government, as well as other presents.

Bon Manga favorably assessed the gesture of the CAF.
