The possibility that China and Equatorial Guinea may study the mechanism to create a consortium in the agricultural sector was the main issue dealt with in the meeting held between the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bioko, Gregorio Boho Camo, and the Business Manager in the Chinese Embassy in Malabo. At the meeting, some businessmen from the Asian country from the agricultural sector were also present.

The meeting was the first contact in order to begin such an ambitious project as the creation of this consortium which is so important for the interests of Equatorial Guinea. The Chinese delegation was interested in the Government’s social development policy. Gregorio Boho Camo explained to his listeners that this sector is of vital importance in the Government’s program in order to reach the objectives of Horizon 2020. The possibility of relaunching the cultivation of cacao with the help of Chinese companies could be another good way of achieving it.
